In line with the technological advances in the global environment in banking operations, the society offers the following services also.
MGUECS was established in 1988 with a view to encourage saving mentality and foster unity and co-operation among the university employees and to meet their economic needs. The society which started with a nominal capital in 1988 has now grown up to a well established Class-I society having over 2,000 members and a working capital of Rs 64 crores. The area of operation of the society consists of the whole of MG university Kottayam and the members include both permanent and retired employees of the university.
The dedicated, sincere and honest efforts and the guidance and advice given by the former board members of the Society needs a special mention in making the Society a successfull one in the present form.
The society provides long term, mid term and short term loans, OD facilities, Fixed Deposits Schemes, GDCS, Emergency Loans, Educational Loans etc.
As a recognition to the services and facilities offered by the society, MGUECS has been selected as the Best Employees' Co-operative Society of the year 2020 in Kottayam Taluk.
